My Inspiration to Start This Company

In 1973, we had an oil crisis that affected the end consumer with such impact that alternative fuel sources had begun to be explored.  Gas prices eventually came down and the crisis was forgotten.  In 1979, we had another energy crisis.  You would have thought we, as a nation, would have learned something from these crises.  Within 12 months, oil went from $15.85 per barrel to $39.50 per barrel, more than doubling in cost.  In 2004, gas at the pump cost an average of $1.77 per gallon.  Beginning in 2007, oil was at a high $60.00 per barrel, but by June 2008, it had hit $140.00 per barrel, with no visible end in sight, bringing the price at the pump to close to $4.00 per gallon.

To compound the matter, there is a pattern of every time the gas prices rise, the U.S. dollar falls.  In 2002, the U.S. dollar was around 120 related to the world market.  By 2008, it was close to 75, dropping nearly 50%.

Gas prices are the highest that they have been in history, and threatening to go up much higher.  To make matters worse, our American dollar has much less buying power.  Using Bishop's Original products in your car is the simplest, most economical way to save up to 25% of our gas and oil.  If everyone used Bishop's Original in their cars, we could possibly save as much oil as is expected to be found in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).  Our hope is that you will join us as we seek to save more oil for our future generations.
